There was nothing in the quote that I saw, that suggested that Clemson wouldn't be loud, or that his team wouldn't be affected by it.

He said it would be similar to last week, and he also said "it couldn't get any louder" than last week, which I took to mean he thought last week was very loud, which means he thinks Clemson will be very loud.

Syracuse was 2/3rds empty and he said that Clemson will not be louder. How is that not a dig at us? I would argue that we're louder when they are full, even in the dome. But this comment was definitely an insult. No other way I can see it.

Well, it's statements like his that do inflame the team and fans, and it brings about an even louder response at the game. His implication, no his statement, was that it won't be any more of a problem than Syracuse. The fact is, it will be much, much louder, and he just insured that. Not too bright, even if he thinks that way. He does seem prone to things that are not too bright lately.

For our own players to say that it gets so loud in DV that it causes things to move, that makes us fans proud. And that makes them proud to say that about their fans. It that can't get you pumped enough to shake the dust off the concrete in DV, then nothing can!!!
